Thanks for an excellent review. I really like the size of the case on this model.

I received my FOIS today and mine is numbered 15xxx. So they’re still churning them out!!

Still undecided whether to keep both my Hesalite Speedy and the FOIS.
Will probably trade it once my Snoopy 50th is available.
I’m loving the alpha hands though.

Awesome review. My only complaint, and I'm sure others have voiced their opinions, is that the small counter hands do not match.
Otherwise, it is a beaut.

One of the best features of FOIS are the differentiated style of hands in my eyes and why I just went for it despite the recent price hike. As a designer I don’t like straight 1:1 reissues; what I like to see is that designers identify the spirit of a model and make functional and aesthetic tweaks to the new version. Bigger or smaller tweaks, doesn’t matter. I like to see some thought about the original went to creation of the tribute piece not just how to copy. designers can also fail in this process of course. They often do and show complete misunderstanding of the original.
I don’t think they missed it with FOIS.

Nice review, thanks! Also keen on the FOIS, I have a soft spot for manual wind watches 🤨

Nice review, really enjoyed it. The two sets of hands make sense to me. Three leafs for chronometer functions, and three sticks for chronograph functions. Reduce reading error in high stress situations.
