650usd … dollar is weak so i say ‘bargain’. 650chf is what i pay, and im more than happy to do so as my independent watchmaker has to feed his kids.

I’d say you already won the jackpot having a high quality independent watchmaker 3 miles away. Now what do they charge for a triple date moon phase chrono? 😉

Well they were around $450. I’d say we are $650 - 850 now. They’ve done all of my Tri Compax at one point or another. In deference to other watchmakers, especially sole proprietors, they are a high volume shop, within a major metropolitan area so there are economies of scale at work here. When one drops a watch at a small local jeweler for service, it probably goes to them .
