Need help from those more learned on this one..dial and lume look too good?

Hi FYPM,

Thank you for sharing this piece. In my opinion, at a glance, the dial lume looks a little too yellow to be patinated.

Not sure about the metal seconds hand. But I think they should be a white composite?

Additionally, the case and case back etching look really sharp to be a genuine example of an Omega Seamaster 300 166.024, to be dated back to 1966/67.

Here is my piece for reference. It is a WatchCo build by the way.

That said, to those more well-versed in appraising. Please correct me if I am wrong on my appraisal.

Thank you.

What is this? Is it an optical effect?

The hands are likely to be luminova, not tritium.

Additional photos of the inside and crown would be helpful

Good spot, I don't think so, it looks like the numerals on the bezel are a little chunky.

I'm not sure anything is authentic. Is this being sold as a legit 166.024? Where is it listed?

Maybe I'm wrong but it looks just fake to me (at least the dial)..

This is the bit that makes me question whole dial
Compare this is to correct dials of the period

that gets me

Would definatley stay away from this one:

Date window is not centered and the corners are angular, all other examples here have rounded corners

https://www.omegaseamaster300.com/

Bezel is fake IMO font is too fat and blurred; at least the bezel is service

Inner lug ends don't look like they should

Thanks for your thoughts on this. Date window DOES look weird. Hadn’t noticed that. Pass it is!

New generation of fakes?
I don’t like the dial and hands.
Font and lume just look off to me.

Avoid, nothing looks correct for its age.
