Hi Guys,
I hope all is well. My name is Lorenzo and I am new to the group, WOHO. I am a big watch fan and love Omega. I own a Speedmaster and Seamaster 300M. Recently I have started looking into vintage models to expand the collection and get something different. I found this 58 Ranchero with the 267 movement. I checked the Omega vintage page and all looks correct on the add. Wanted to ask some of you experts if you had any tips on the movement, I have little experience when it comes to vintage

I would not recommend buying from this particular seller...

Oh boy... here we go again...

The seller of this watch was banned here.

Anyway, EUR 1450 is also quite a firm price for this watch IMO. Especially for a plated.

This (banned) seller turns up a lot on OF and every time OF is telling people not to buy from him.

It looks to be a original bowler crown but tired movement and dial. I'm not crazy about it.

Are you looking for a seachero or just a nice looking omega?

I've sold this one recently for a EUR 950

Beautiful! How can you see if the movement is tired? what could I negotiate for him to replace?
Selling anything else?

Nice Omega - possibly gold/goldplated
If you aren’t looking for a Seachero specifically you can get better Omega models for the money IMO. There is a premium just because its a ”Seachero”.

You should be able to get a really nice gold capped Seamaster for that money instead of a gold plated!

Edit: maybe even a solid gold example depending on what models you are looking for.

I had a look on Chrono24 for around EUR 1.400 and the one I posted about was the one that strikes me the most to be honest. Why are there so many premiums on the Seachero? Not an expert - happy to learn

For starter try looking on other platforms than c24 because they are usualy like 50-100% more expensive than a equivalent example from here.

Is it the case design you like?
If its just a gold plated/capped/solid Seamaster with a light dial you’re looking for I’m assure you will find something better for that kind of money 😀

Yeah I could not tell what I like so much, probably the case and the fact that its 36

Highly recomend following the sales section here on the forum. Pops up gold omegas rather often, you can also make a want to buy thread.

Otherwise you can scout eBay but requires a bit more balls and or knowledge there!
