Greetings all. I am pretty new to the world of Heuer but noticed this fine example at least to me. Aside from missing a crown/stem I don’t see much issues here. It appears dial is correct though I’m unsure if bezel is original or service. Would really appreciate the input of those who know more.

Reference is 15640. I don't know much about these but you can look em up with that.

I do think the bezel insert is aftermarket. Bezels for these Autavias are two-piece: outer bezel and insert.

What makes you think bezel is aftermarket?

from your pics it looks like the movement is missing a whole lotta parts related to the chrono mechanism. i'm sure experts will chime in.

It’s a gut feeling at this point, having seen and handled many of these MH bezels. Check it closely against examples from private sellers (NOT dealers). As I said, I'm no expert, so if you find that your research satisfies you, then on you go.

This bit I do know something about, however.
That photo is of a Calibre 11 movement. This Skipper uses the Calibre 15, which was a decontented version of the Calibre 11/12. The original models were too expensive, so Heuer created a less-expensive version without the hour totalizer (and instead adding a small running seconds at 10 o'clock). The base plates were the same though, so they can look like they're missing parts.

This movement is fine from a totality perspective; I have no comments about whether it needs a service etc.

Sorry, differences between the cal 11 and 15 aside, it's still clearly missing parts.

Is it missing the stem and crown or just the crown? At least you have the fluted pushers. I'm still looking for a set :(

Ah yeah you're right, on the right side. No bueno. Won't be able to find those.

I also don't like the bevel on the case sides, looks like it's been redone.

I appreciate your input and indeed missed the components on right side side of the Cal 15. Who knows what else is missing underneath? What’s upsetting is that seller advertised the movement as “brand new condition”.

That alone disqualifies this sale IMO, and probably any others from this person. Now I'm certain that the dial and hands have been refinished, along with the other issues I felt it had
