Hello all,

I'd would like your opinion on this seamaster 600 before I buy it. Is everything original and is £1000 an appropriate price?

I have some trepidation with buying a watch with a plexiglass crystal. Do these scratch as easily as some people make out?

The description also claims the thickness is 9.8mm but from the photos it looks quite thick. Is this just how the photo was taken?

Thanks in advance.

It’s genuine but £1000 is about twice its value. Then again, if it’s a dealer and warranties, dealers are there to make a profit. Still expensive.

I knew it was one of the more expensive ones out there. It's a shame as I haven't been able to find another steel case, steel hands, steel dial with that radial line pattern dial

I’d say that’s the most common dial type. You should be able to find a nice one in 1-3 months.

Looks fine but the price is crazy. This is the most common variant of an entry-level Seamaster. You should be able to get a nice example of a more desirable reference with a bracelet for that price.

Does this dial have a name. I've seen "sunburst" for the dial without the lines

Sunburst dials have this radial brushed finished. Sometimes the brushing is hard to see, depending on the lighting and the photography. Again, it was pretty much the standard common finish for many Omega watches during that era.

I didn't realise this was a sunburst dial, they look so different in the photos, thanks
