Can I get some opinions on this Omega Seamaster 300 165.024 from 1966. Seller's asking price is USD5950. If you have an opinion on price but feel you don't want to comment publicly on it, feel free to message me. It's out of my wheelhouse, so to speak. 馃榿 Hopefully I can get some direction from the more knowledgeable here.

As 'the money is in the dial' (and in this case of course in the EOA) - how does the dial lume looks in natural light?

Hands [EDIT: especially the hour hand] could be relumed IMO

I find the case too soft and the dial too far gone for my liking. The bracelet is also a modern one.

Condition doesn鈥檛 reflect the price in todays market imo.

Not a watch I could personally enjoy. At any price...

To me the watch seems very worn, but original, except the crystal and crown, which both looks to be later service replacement parts.
I have in restoration phase the same model in very same condition, it requires laser welding and probably a relume, but I got it for half of this price...and it has an EoA.

I'll put my money on the watch. That is one of the best value watches out there and there is no doubt that the Omega Seamaster 300m holds its value. This watch has everything you'd want out of a dive watch and competes against the standard of all dive watches, the Rolex Submariner.

This SM300 holding value? Won't touch it with a 6 feet pole.

U might be thinking of a modern SM300

Very good condition sm300s I have seen hold their value. Once the dial looks ehh and bezel looks ehh. Yes. Those have fell off a lot.
