Thank you!😀
Will most likely meet with the seller tomorrow!

When you meet, check for corrosion between the case back and the mid case, as shown here:
With luck its just the poor photo, but I would strongly urge you to take the back off.

I haven’t really thought about it. Do you think it is very bad?

I think dial photos are not clear enough to tell. Bring a loupe to see magnified images. Take good closeup pics of dial

IMG_2634.jpeg Well, I couldn’t help myself
Seeing the watch in real life was very comforting, it has a pleasing patina.

the dial has not been relumed I think, I took a close look with a magnifying glass. The dials, except one has been replaced it seems.

what looked like corrosion in the picture was a combination of scratches and dirt.

it runs a bit fast, about a second per hour.

I will use it as is a couple of days before having it serviced.

The feeling right now is happy!

Congratulations! The Speedy looks great on your wrist. The watch looks consistent and correct to me, while I'm no expert lumologist I think it looks like vintage lume with some effects of age consistent with rest of watch.
Be sure to give it to independent Omega certified watchmaker with Omega parts account, who is attuned to sensibilities of vintage watch enthusiasts- not to Omega.
You will need to consider water resistance which may dictate replacing old pushers and crown to allow it to pass a pressure test, vs maintaining the original parts and just staying out of the rain. Don't wear it for too long before service as its likely running on decades-old lubrication which could be hard on parts. Ask lots of questions prior to service and you can post the service quote and plan here if you like, many experts (which I am not one) available to help.
Cheers!

Thank you very much for your advice!
I’ll talk to a couple of trusted watchmakers before committing.
…and as you suggest, post the quote here😀

Congratulations and wear in good health. A very desirable vintage piece! Love the step dial.

They always look better in real life than in the macro photos..

“Bare
Is the appropriate Norwegian word "Koselig" ?
”bare hyggelig” would be the typical answer, that’s close to “you are welcome”
“Koselig”, although used for many situations, aren’t too far away from “cosy”😀

Looks good … nice even vintage patina. Congratulations!
Thank you!
A bonus photo with the flat link bracelet.
Some of the springs are missing, but I have ordered a bunch to rejuvenate the bracelet.

Hello all!
I have now had the watch serviced.
After recommendations from local watch enthusiasts I entrusted Urmaker Guldbrandsen ( https://www.urmakergulbrandsen.com/service ) with my watch.
His report on the watch was something like the following:

The watch is bone dry, and in need of a complete service.
The hands is in a dire state, and has been painted with acrylic lacquer at some stage.
They are also sitting too low , and lume was falling off.
The dial has a some nice patina , and does not seem to be re-lumed.
Both buttons are crooked.
The crown were quite worn, but salvageable with new gasket
Crystal is ok, but starting to go porous.

So, I opted to replace the hands, buttons, crown and crystal, in addition to a full service with new gaskets etc.
ALL parts replaced has been handed to me with the watch, so I will keep these of course.
No polishing.

I have replaced some of the springs in the bracelet so it is tight again.
I have also installed a see through back cover, from Spiralwinder Watch Parts.
...of course keeping the original back cover with the other parts😁

Perhaps I have made some bad decisions regarding the servicing of this watch, but considering all replaced parts are kept safe, I feel good about it.

The clock runs very nice now at about 3second off every 24h, and about 3,3seconds off with the chronometer running.

The watch looks very nice! The faded bezel and lume color go very well together.

Did the watchmaker return all the original parts to you? It’s difficult to understand from his written note.
