These in combination with a good home safe/Safe Deposit Box.. are the way to go. It is not a good idea IMO to display your watches. My insurance company was adamant as well. That's why I will be selling my watch winders as soon as I get the time.

For pocket watches. Solid oak, custom made $750.00 each. But it makes a decent collection look more significant.

I started with a 6 watch coffin style display case. As my collection has grown (and the value) I've added the same 8 watch zippered case you show. It's small, protects the watches well and can easily be hidden with no sign of what it contains.

What cannot be found cannot be stolen. What isn't seen is less likely to be searched for.

Im looking for some nice watch box like what @Larry S has. I see really nice watch box like that on Hodinkee, but it's just too expensive that I find it hard to justify. Anyone know something similar but cheaper?

You said that you are looking for a watch box like Larry has, but he also posted the link where you can buy it. Why not just go with that one?

Because when I check the link, it does not seem as well built as the one on Hodinkee. The "space" for the watch seems too big and the overall quality seems not as nice.

How much is the one from HODINKEE going for?

I purchased a travel box from Howard @Optimizer13 and I truly love it, but it might be too expensive for your liking. You know what they say, you get what you pay for!

I bought the same one Larry posted. The quality is much better than I expected based on the very low price. At a minimum you could buy it first, see if you like it, then use it while searching for a better one. (That’s why I bought it, as a trial. You might just stick with it as I did).

The boxes I show come from Amazon and are very cheap. They are called Songmics

Hmmmm, so a $30 option is only 4% the cost of the HODINKEE version... definitely worth a shot to me.
