I was searching for the way to order it here in Spain and stumbled across the description of the book on omegawatches.com.

Apparently it contains some 200 artistic pictures of 70 Seamaster models from 1948 to 2018 printed on double page, as shown in the pics on the website. For those like me that were expecting a refence manual on seamaster similar to MWO they may risk to be deluded.

Strangely enough, it doesn't seem to be the same page available in English. Although, looking up for the url in Google will pop up other language version like German, French and few others.

Thank you for the link, i just pre-ordered one as well, not sure if i would like to buy an art book though..

Had my order in for a few weeks now at £68.13 due for release 2nd October, but after reviewing the above link, I think I'll cancel the order and put the dosh, into a watch service!

The last thing I need is a book of "...Exactly 70 unique Seamaster watches were selected for the project and were photographed in a truly creative studio environment..." & "...On each page, the minimalist but vivid images reveal why and how the Seamaster has become an icon of the watchmaking world..." 📖 🙁

So thanks Amaza for the warning, gone from being quite excited to rather disappointed!

Thanks for the update. I think I will be canceling my pre-order as well. The photos look nice but I don't think I need any more coffee table books...

Oh dear, after reading yours and @paulw post and checking the link I've cancelled my order too.🙁

Not what I was expecting at all and certainly not the in depth SM book I was hoping for.

oh man… almost pre-ordered but it seems to be just a picture book… was hoping to get a decent reference book for future hunting

Glad to be useful, and disappointed as you guys. It would have been nice a seamaster reference books but probably it would take much more than some 400 pages and a lifetime to write. :_D

I read the first few posts, rushed to Amazon and ordered, then returned and read the rest, rushed to Amazon to cancel.

Thank goodness it was a pre-order and hadn't shipped!

A Seamaster started all this madness for me, I'm easily led down that path, something marketers might want to note.(enough of the moon stuff, already!)

Well shucks, I’m still gonna take delivery. We have Kox’s book coming out in the next year or two and this’ll hold me over until then.

Personally, if I want to just look at pictures of Seamaster's, then I can get my fill right here and also know that the chances are they actually represent how the watch looks in real life. I suspect there will be quite a few disappointed buyers of this and there might be a glut of second hand copies surfacing quite soon after release.

In the first year?

At some point I will do a Seamaster Decades Collection, and frankly if this book was all what we wanted it to be I probably would have got motivated to do it sooner rather than later.

I think we all are spoiled with the MWO and also the new Flightmaster Only book...not every written book about watches can be as detailed and full packed with background information as these two books, BUT I also like to see perfect pictures of perfect watches...👍

Perhaps, but I found the examples on the linked page rather boring & actually detracted from the watch - they didn't 'say' anything or add anything to the essence of the watch itself.

If you consider that within the link, the photographs should perhaps be some "exceptional" shots (as teasers) to make you want to buy the book, then it totally failed from my perspective.
