The deposit is refundable, so it's more like an option to buy. But if you want it tomorrow, ain't gonna happen!! What do you mean about "no bracelet"? It comes with steel and they include leather and NATO in a very large presentation box!

That might be...I tried it on for 1 second and realized that it was too big and had way too much going on for my dainty wrist! I didn't even ask about bracelet options. I ended up reserving that 60th Anniversary Railmaster. When I go collect it, if it doesn't feel right, I'll go home with that Globemaster. Note that the one guy on OF mentioned he negotiated a free leather strap and a discount on it!

I went through a heavy Speedy Pro phase around 10 years ago and at one time owned 4 models, modern and vintage.

I then decided that they were too big for my (flat) 6.75" wrist. So, I sold them all, even the rare models that were in supreme condition.

I now really regret it - I have a 2017 Hesalite Speedmaster Pro (42mm) and have got used to the size. Over the 10 years I had bought a number of larger dive watches and my view of what looks 'normal' has shifted somewhat.

The Speedy is my largest watch, but only just. I think what I'm saying is don't dismiss the full size model, it may be something to get used to and love.

Here's a pic of mine on the wrist. Some may think it looks too large but I certainly don't think it looks ridiculous, despite my spindly arm!!

I forgot to say, although this is a modern Speedmaster, I wear it on a 1990s 1447 bracelet. It has less 'overhang' at the lugs than the current bracelet - seems to help it look less huge on my wrist.

Interesting. I was wearing a 93 speedmaster and I couldn't get over how big it was. Granted I wore on natos and Zulus. That probably added the thickness to it.

Are the modern speedys any different? I'm heading to the AD to try the 39.7mm again.

Just wanted to note as you're trying the FOIS, there is a bracelet that fits from the current Speedmaster Racing:

And add to that, the 60th anniversary bracelet may fit as well.
