One thing for sure ,,,,,,,,,,,
There is going to be quite an argument when it comes time to decide which one to vote for when we choose the OmegaForums LE case back
😲

Anything involving characters from ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit?’ has my vote👍

Perhaps Dennis hit the lottery, and bought 'em all just to troll the Speedmaster collecting community... 😁

Boy, that looks just godawful ugly. I get that it’s a highly personal tribute to Ben Clymer and credit is due for that, but I don’t think anyone was exactly clamoring for a Mk40 reissue. Especially one that doesn’t incorporate its good feature (interesting calendar function) but showcases its bad feature (the dial and color combination)

I expect by middle of next year we’ll start to see these languishing on sales boards and C24 with sky-high asking prices and no takers

+1 .

This LE watches game is getting really boring and predictable...::facepalm1::

Boring? We’re on page 7 in this thread after 7 hours.

Predictable? Can you share the thread or post where you or someone else shared this version of watch before today? (Saying people predicted another LE doesn’t count as ‘predictable’, since it is Omega’s job to crest and sell watches, LE is a great way for them to do so)

I’d say 500 watches sold within hours, paid for up front and coverage on at least 3 prominent watch sites is pretty good for Omega. They cannot please everyone all the time, nor do I suspect they even care or pretend to try to do so.

I'll bet this guy can't actually afford the $6500 price and was hoping to make a quick score. No takers or offers at $12, now he'll quickly reduce the price hoping someone buys in the next few days. He bought with dollar signs in his eyes, now he's on the hook for a watch very few collectors will actually want down the line

This one is definitely dividing the house.

Not sure if it’s:-

A US vs Rest of The World Thing

Or a Vintage vs Modern Omega Enthusiasts Thing

Or a Good Taste vs Bad Taste Thing

No one is sitting on the fence though that’s for sure.

Omega put out 2012 ST1 and ST2, only 500 of this one. Maybe they never expected this one to be nearly as well liked or popular as other LE’s... 😉

I can only agree with you.

Not a fan of the Arabic numbers, nor do I like the multitude of colors going on there. BC may have an emotional attachment to this design, but it's just not for me.

......and I think the point that it seems to be so polarising could be in its favour in the long run. I’d rather be allied with a cult classic than a mainstream success anyday.
But I am definitely on the other side of the fence to you regards this one though.....sorry! I’m loving your passion for it though.

So, @tyrantlizardrex , what LE can we expect to celebrate 50 episodes of the Time4apint podcast? A special edition Flightmaster for non-pilots? A Speedmaster made of Lego? A Harry Potter themed Constellation..?

A Time4apint Thursday (aka #TT)???

I would definitely buy one if it had a built-in tap!

.......I think that to the untrained eye it would look like a normal Speedmaster, but it would have a small beer stain on the LH sub dial and a specially crafted Ding over 90 Bezel...The Lizard “rampant” (that’s a heraldry term in this instance) etched on the back..... errr...maybe?

This has been jokingly suggested in a whatsapp? group that I'm in.

I think it would sell terribly. 😁

Just to address head on the comments about bloggers and watch companies.

Hodinkee has 120,000 unique site visitors a day. That is a lot by anyone's standards.

We can collectively hate on watch blogs and bloggers all we like, but watch brands are looking for ways to reach audiences who aren't responding to old fashioned channels.

Customers (like us!) are on watch blogs. So expect to see more of this.

I don't even have enough site traffic to get Omega's PR team to reply to my emails, let alone collaborate on an LE... so I think we can forget about a Time 4A Pint Limited Edition anything. 😉

Nice! Put me down for one. Please Chris.

It's more of a "make your own" thing.

Buy a standard hesalite/superluminova moonwatch, wear it for 16 years, do dumb shit, have a good time. 👍
