I had put a deposit down but decided to pull it back. With that many being sold (6969), they will quickly be selling online close to or even below retail price once the flippers start getting theirs. I'd rather wait for next year's Apollo 13... hopefully Snoopy 3!
I’m assuming in the US? Nobody in the U.K. will even add me to a list! Anyone had a similar experience in the U.K.?

I am thinking the same as you.

I'd guess the 50th ann Apollo 13/Snoopy 3 will also include gold if they plan on using gold for 50th anniversaries. I'll probably have to sit on the sidelines again for that...

Btw to the posters questioning the price of platinum Speedy, check out the 40th anniversary Apollo 11 watch. Only 69 made in platinum and over $100k.

Cool prediction, but I have a deposit on one and would likely ask for a return if it looked like that since it looks very stale to me
