Beautiful watch at a reasonable edition size, and fairly priced for a gold bracelet watch.

It was quite obvious we would have a golden watch for the anniversary, it's a nice one, but I'm not into gold watches... Interested in the steel version for sure.

Congrats Robert-Jan! Is it #13?😀

I need to rethink my career choices...maybe I should become a watch journalist to afford it? 😁

Oh, believe me, this is a serious hit for me as well.

Can't they just give you one for free? You provide a lot for them in terms of brand image and advertising.

Omega's new motto - "Forget all that Moon stuff, we are increasing shareholder value every day..."
They trying real hard to hit the Veblen Good phenomenon.

With this gold LE they seem to be going after what was labeled “Speedy 321 Reissue Target”.

What incredible news to wake up to. It’s a beautiful piece no doubt, but I wonder how it will effect the value of the original from 69.....

I get that gold is about $1300/oz and palladium is over $1500/oz, but that’s a lot of money. I suspect the same movement will be available in a steel-cased model at some point; maybe then.

Correct me if I'm wrong but this is the very first "Speedmaster Professional" that doesn't sport either a 321 or (1)861(/3) right?.
They were making Professionals with other movements 45 years ago! I have a Mark III Professional and and a Mark IV Professional, both automatic cal. 1040.

rI really thought they'd use this design to showcase the re-re'd 321, actually, and use another one for the 50th...

Now I'm really curious to see what will be the first one to hold the 321!

Doh! yes, or course they were. But not in "moonwatch" cases (well except for the Maddox Holy Grail). I wasn't thinking about these.

Beautiful and a faithful reissue.. but at £25,600 out of my league unless I sell a child or kidney...
How many children and kidneys have you got?..... need to keep these things in perspective :0)

Yeah, I've got two kids, and frankly they are WAY more valuable to me than $32K each. I won't get sappy.

I'm glad it's expensive, and I'm glad it's yellow gold. This way I don't even have to think about getting one. 😁

I'm not a gold person, so won't be going for it. But I like the vintage touches esp. the short pushers, and the new movement is kind of cool. Also like the ceramic bezel, would like to see more of that kind of stuff on the Speedmaster Professional in general. Looking forward to anything else they've got up their sleeve, but I hope it's a bit more differentiated from the vintage. I already have an actual 105.012, and while a modern recreation of one would be pretty cool, I don't think I'd buy one unless there was something significantly different about it.

Gold isn't my thing. And the price sure isn't my thing.

Anxious to see the 321 SS option that comes out.
