Probably you know better than me, and this is what I want to hear! Anyway, In Italy a few Boutiques, whereas can’t put no one more in the list for the steel version, are still considering “possible” to take it...like if it was not such a sold out! Probably in UE things are different than in US...I don’t know...

Nobody is screaming for a gold Daytona but it’s quite impossible to find at retail now!

Anyone know of an AD that might have one for sale (preferably in US but could try international)? Been looking to buy one for retail, no luck so far . Thanks in advance!

I think you are going to find it almost impossible to find one at an AD or Omega Boutique now. These were allocated ages ago.

Indeed, this was an amazing Speedmaster... for the happy few and the rest of us didn't even get a true stainless steel 50th Apollo 11 Speedmaster.
Anyway 50 years is a Gold anniversary and the watch is a great tribute to the Apollo astronauts... so well done Omega.

*Houston - we have a problem … ::rant:

My daily "Goldie" 3861 stops from time to time completely, when I have my stopping function
running and the very big seconds hand is close to 12, when the subdial minute counter
should start to make the next step ... but it does not. It stops completely by itself.
Not every minute, not every time when I use it, but frequently after 5 min or 10min or sometimes
after 3 hours using the function.

Even the balance stops than completely, what I can see from the glas back.
When I knock it a bit by hand, it starts running again … and the balance slowly starts to
accelerate until it reaches normal speed from what I think.

Without using the stopping function everything is absolutely normal, it keeps the time as
good as no other Speedy from me ever does and has no abnormalities at all.

Sadly I think I have to send it for a service to Omega already, using it only since 3 months as my
daily watch. Will that be a problem we all see regularly at the 3861 in the future? Hopefully not!

*The problem seen at the commercial video of the "Platinum Version" makes me doubt if the
    new calibres are still enough
    testet
    before the release?!?

Just wanted to let you know
    Hans

Beside that I love my "goldie" and I am absolut loyal to her ;)
