Item description: "EVERYTHING ORIGINAL AND AUTHENTIC."

No its not. Wrong bezel
It should have a steel one.
The installed bezel would be correct for a 2915 "-3"

Unfortunately this auction was pulled, assume someone made a good offer to the seller for sale outside the bay

I think it’s more likely because it wasn’t far from ending and wasn’t getting the volume and value of interest the seller had hoped

I read in another thread that one of our esteemed forum members was smelling a possible fraudulent activity with the post

The seller was remarkably unresponsive to many who were asking for additional photos, the seller claimed that although he worked in “47th st” he didn’t have the watch to hand and could not provide any more photos. He also blocked me when I offered to visit.

The IG account with same name has not been active since 2023. The eBay account is hacked.

All the other items for sale were varied watches, and some unrelated jewelry. Photos had no commonality, in other words taken by different people and different places. Unlike the feed back on previous sales which was strangely similar.

Pretty sure right now the “seller” will be making some second chance offers - which I think is the purpose of the whole exercise - to get the bidders details, to contact them with an offer that is too good to pass, but oh dear, it’s Christmas so you must do wire transfer, or maybe he has a few compromised PayPal accounts.

If all goes according to plan, he will get three or four people, who lose their minds thinking they can buy a 50,000 watch for under 15,000.

There is no such thing as a real cheap 2915 on eBay. Even with a market downturn all collectors were on the ready for this, and each of us spotted the scam.

I was watching this too. As soon as I saw New York, NY. I immediately disregarded it as a 47th street nightmare. Full shade intended.

I mean, it can be a nightmare if you don't know what you're doing or looking at and aren't used to the fast pace. It is one of the biggest watch wholesaling hubs in the world, thousands and thousands of watches trading hands daily. Full shade intended.

I'm just picturing John Buckley popping the original bezel off with a plastic spoon from P.F Changs and popping the 321 out in his bare greasy hands.

Was the seller Manhattanwatchcompany? Saw yesterday a message on Insta from somebody who transferred money in October and had not received anything.

However, what I can say already now is that all the above-mentioned assumptions were or are wrong.

The dial looks a bit dusty in the photos, but that's just slight erosion of the luminous material and it needs a gentle cleaning.
I also need to replace the radium in the hands. However, the dial's radiation is quite strong.

Watch is from 1st owner in Venezuela,
Seller too who is a serious watchdealer and a very nice and honest man who got the watch from the widow of this 1st owner.
His sister lives in NY were i flew in and checked all in person. Sometimes one has to be creative and finally all went very smoothly.
The watch came with a very good and tight 7077 but I had a NOS one which I put on now / pics. Cheers 🍻
