We took off the back and the serial number reads 2915-1 ...
I thought the broad arrow and the silver bezel is what made it a -2, but after opening it I'm seeing otherwise. It's all new to me, so I'm just trying to get as much info as I can on it.
Hey everyone,
So my great grandfather has passed down this Omega Speedmaster 2915-1 (which I originally thought was a 2915-2 at the beginning of this post) down to me and I just wanted to post on this forum to get a little bit of advice.
First, I want to know if everything on the watch looks authentic, especially the bezel. I've done a good amount of research and from what I can tell everything is original from the "base 1000" bezel to the broad arrow hand, but I want some extra insight.
Second, for insurance purposes, what would be a good price point for this watch? It's a cherished heirloom and I want to make sure I'm handling it properly.
Thanks!
i am breathless! fly me to the moon.
it is 2915-1 indeed! series 15xxxxxx.
I strongly suggest to edit your caliber photo - erase the serial number now.
if you need extract for authentication, you can work it out later with omega for record purposes.

Should I blur out the 15xxxxxx number?
Yes, blurr it .
