Fellow collectors and friends,

My Speedmaster came with this presentation box (see picture attached). I’ve never seen a presentation box with this inside. Is it legit or is it just a rare piece? I hope some of you might be able to help me out!

Thanks in advance.

Yes it’s a correct Omega box, supplied with the Speedmaster. I think mainly for the American market. Not too sure of exact date range but certainly 1970’s.

My 1976 1450.022 watch came with this box and papers stamped 2011 which is the country code for USA. I ordered an EOA which states the watch was delivered to Germany in 1976. The guy were I bought the watch from told me he bought the watch at a US base in Germany during the 70’s. Does this all make sense to say Germany on the EOA?

Likely the GI couldn't speak German so the papers are in English?

I have a -76 that was sold in the same box, also on a military base. And it doesn’t strike me as odd that a watch delivered to an American base in Germany should be supplied with a US booklet. But, I would imagine there are others here with a better understanding of these things.

Cheers,
