Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could comment on this Soccer Timer Ref. 145.019 I'm considering purchasing, specifically if it has been redialed or anything like that. From searching online, I can't seem to find many examples with this dial with the orange second hand and the swiss made in that position. Thank you!

A soccer dial without tritium is like a day without sunshine.

That looks like a service dial & hands. You may find this thread helpful 馃憤 It covers the variety of versions for this reference.

Thank you for the answer and the link, the explanations and versions there was very helpful and I feel like I have a better understanding now.

To compare...

Thank you for the pictures for comparison!

So I guess that leaves one question, does the service dial/hands have an effect on the value, at least relative to a watch with non-service parts? I'm not particularly deterred from a looks standpoint, but I don't want to overpay.

Thank you again for the help, you guys know your stuff!

What is the price? For a collector a service dial and hands would certainly have an adverse impact on price and value.

Yeah that's what I figured. The person selling is asking $4250, but I've talked to him a bit and think he might be willing to part with it for around $3800-$4000.

Oh wow that example looks incredible, though its pretty well beyond my budget, plus the potential hassle of importing plus fees. Thanks for sharing that though, super cool!

Sorry, and not meaning to insult anyone, but to me that sounds like a crazy price for that one (even at your number). They come up for sale now and again and I would think that at that price you could get a stellar example.

Yeah again kind of what I figured, no insult or offensive taken at all, it's a shame because it looks nice. What do you think would be an acceptable price for it? Maybe I'll drop him an offer and explain what I've learned here and see what he says.

Also a shame because he provided a picture of it on a timegrapher running at -1 s/d, so seems to be running really well

For me there is no price that would work if you know up front that the dial and hands are at issue.

Well, fair enough, looks like I'll be passing on this one. Kinda makes one wonder why service parts exist that don't adhere to original specifications in the first place. Oh well, thank you everyone for the information and the help, I learned a lot and enjoyed doing so. Very much appreciated! 馃憤

The service dials made after the shift from tritium to superlume -- there was no choice.
