hi, new here and to watch collecting. I just picked up an Omega Soccer timer at an estate sale this past weekend. And I’m trying to figure out the value of this particular One. I can’t find much on it. Every thing works good on it. This is my 5th omega watch but the best I think. Thanks for looking, excited to hear from ya’ll!

Congratulations, I love this reference and they are not so common.
In my opinion the value is 3.5-4k €.
    Enjoy it!

Hello and welcome to the forum. Show us more ;-)

In fact, 145.019 is not a common reference but it wears extremely well because of its size, compared to the same dial in the 145.016 case, for example. It looks indeed very good and original. How about the chrono hand? Is it the picture or it doesn't reset properly?

They aren't there today. I would agree with you, they should be there (famous cal 861, produced in late 60s - early 70s, tritium colorful dials... ) but fact is that this references listed at 3.5-4k€ on ebay don't sell... Realistic it's a 2.8-3.3k USD watch according to my observations.

Yeah I'd agree with around 2.5-.3k...Certainly worth keeping and looking after...these are models that are hard to find and will only go up in value IMO.

Hi, thanks for the help. everythig seems to work, although I dont understand how the hands on the red circles move. I havent really worn it that much other then around the house. Although Im going to wear it on saturday when I go to yard sales. My wife wants me to sell it, I told her after I sell all the other junk in my room (i sell alot on eBay ) but really want to keep this one. It was $350 that I paid US and knew that was a good deal, figured it was $1500 maybe. 3-4k though is amazing. Heres a photo of them all that I have except two that are in the shop not pictured waiting for parts. The gold chrono came from the same sale. It was $400 on a seiko band.

The subcounters at 3 and 6 are related to the chrono function. You should see them moving if you leave the chrono running ;) if not, a service is more than recommended :)

Wow... you did some great business there...Yard sale heaven...Northern Minnesota where the locals don't do watches?
Just a thought...If I know i'm going to be looking at watches at yard sales and flea markets (as opposed to visiting my regular guys in junk /pawn shops) I ALWAYS wear something basic and visually unassuming. If folk see you rummaging through a box of old watches or bringing out a magnifying glass or a loupe they also check out what's on your wrist... Seeing something fancy will often encourage them to raise their opening bid by quite a bit.....

This one was a family run sale. I asked if they had any watches they didn’t wear and the guy went in the back room and said he had a whole bunch of his dad’s. He took me back there and shut the door so it was me and him. So I bought 3 seamasters. Spent $1760. One is a quartz though. He had to Rolex, two Breitling‘s,18 K gold Mavado. A bunch of timex, a tag Heuer. And knock offs.

I bought the three omega, 8 timex, seiko dive and the tag. I wasn’t sure the Rolex and the Breitling were real and he was asking ridiculous prices for them. And he wanted 2500 for the movado, which had a 18 K band. All I knew I was not leaving without this watch. The soccer timer. It looked like a rare bird to me. I had to have it. Funny thing was it was sitting in a bag with the timex. Guy said make an offer. Then I threw $350 and he about crapped himself. Probably could’ve got it for 100 bucks but that doesn’t matter, I’m happy with it! I also feel that was once in a lifetime sale also! Never been to one like that before and probably never will again.

Well done Justin. I doubt that you will have any trouble should you decide to sell it. Very nice piece and desirable reference. Cheers - Jeff

Went to more sales today and bought another collection. Had a Tag Heuer, 18k Bombe & mercer and A tiffany and co Profile. Along with 5 other $50 watches. Asked one guy for any old watches and he said yes, he went and got a blue dial stainless and black dial speedmaster both Omegas. But... he just wanted to show them off. No intentions of selling them. However he got all excited when I showed him the soccer timer. That was a bummer didn't get to buy a speedy but Happy with the others .

I thought the hand at 9 should be in different color than those at 3 and 6 on a soccer timer?

This is what a very nice example should look like (pic from a spacefruit ad a couple of years ago)
