Nice - thanks for that. Doesnt look any different from the Omega mesh so wonder why Omega told me it wouldn't fit?

Because unfortunately, most Omega “shop assistants” know f@ck all about watches

I have my extension ordered, so I can get just a little more room out of the vintage bracelet.

When I fit the vintage Omega shark mesh to my new Seamaster 300M watch (2018 release), it feels as if the mesh is rubbing against the inside of the lugs, and is snug.

Anyone else have this issue?

Thanks!

Please can someone confirm the clasp type on the reference O020ST1380237?

Is it the seatbelt style?

When I checked with Omega they said that ref O020ST1380237 included the clasp but I wasn’t sure which one

Joined the official 1380 shark mesh gang today. I have previously posted a pic of a Speedy on a Staib mesh but not sure those are fully warranted to be shark proof and you can't be too careful! Very impressed with the look and quality of this but I am curious at how short it comes as standard. I find the extension piece an ugly afterthought so have gone without that but as a result it is a tad snug on my wrist. If your wrist is more than about 7.25" I would think an extension or 2 are compulsory.

You convinced me to to go mesh today.

Also there was only 30 days last month so you're gonna needed a date change 👍

One less member at risk of shark attack, my work here is done. Safety first people!

Good observation skills on spotting the wrong date!

Your bracelet does look safe. I would like to see some shark try to get thru that!

Does anyone have a photo of a 2531 on shark mesh - and is this something that can be ordered through an Omega dealer or should I hunt for one on Ebay instead?

Thanks - /alex

1) It's gonna look a lot like the last two photos in this thread, depending on the color.

2) Either way works

You can order from Omega direct if you get in touch with customer service.

Hi guys,

first post here. The issue is my Seamaster Chrono 2225.80 is a thick and weighty watch (which I like) with a relatively smaller diameter (41.5mm) compared to its almost 17mm thickness. And this makes it a bit top heavy so it moves around on my wrist more than I like.
So I want to buy the heavier proplof clasp for it as a heavier and larger clasp will hold the watch in place more I think. So my first and main question was how this coudl be done.

I emailed Omega asking about putting either an Omega Speedmaster Seamaster Vintage Mesh 20mm 1380-237 or an Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Sharkmesh 20mm Bracelet 021ST1962 on the Proplof clasp on my Seamaster Chrono 2225.80. Omega said those mesh bracelets wouldn't fit my watch. But I was sure I had seen someone with them fitted to a 300M Seamaster.

So has anyone on here done that? And do they fit on the Proplof clasp? If not are there any other sharkmesh bracelets that anyone knows that look like the Omega ones in terms of weight/thickness/polish that could be fitted to my watch and the Proplof clasp? Thanks in advance for any and all answers.

Best,

I called today and was told the same thing with the 1380/237 bracelet and that it wouldn’t work on my 2254.50 however it’s been done before. Hell, I’ve done it before on my older SMP Bond wave dial.

She did mention that they would sell it to me but it would be non returnable since their bands are “not interchangeable”.

I’ve been thinking of the PO mesh/tube band now too.. but people are saying the tubes are scratching inside their lugs up, and was curious if this would start removing material from inside each lug? Any insight?

Did you happen to get the price of the PO Mesh/tube bracelet?

I was told for the 1380/237 it would be $450 plus $10 ship, and $17 for each extension (which I would need two of).

Thanks!
