That $150 sounds awfully like the extract of the archive fee. Only thing is AFAIK they don’t issue extracts for watches after 2010 so it may be that even if you request one it is rejected.

I have Speedmaster Pro .005 from 2016 and the serial number is 873189xx. My friend has Speedmaster Pro from 2018 and the serial number is 77xxxxxx. No logic here?

I purchased my Speedmaster moonwatch in January 2020 brand new from a local Omega Boutique. The serial number is 78xxxxxx. Go figure.

It doesn't seem as though the current use of serial numbers is all that precise.
