Love the way you store your watches.
it saves storage room this way... used for watches which are not on rotation

Sorry, not trying to overplay my hand. Just trying to make sure I have no surprises when it does come up. My learning curve on how to do this has been tremendous. Everyone has been very kind with their help. It will happen when I am comfortable with my knowledge level. It will never be as great as any of you. We are getting closer.

On the watches from mac_omega. WOW, and DOUBLE WOW. Even I am impressed and I am not a watch guy.

Well, that's a tidy collection. The black dial intrigues me. Thanks for the photo; can you post a link to a full high res version, for study/inspection more closely? I'm seeking to understand the plethora of variants.

I only own a humble fraction of that. 馃榾
.....and the delay from over-hyping just caused this......

...... and all the members of 惟F now know that the XVI is NOT so rare!

Looks like it just cost ONEWATCH at least $500 for over-playing his hand. 馃檨 馃う :whipped:

If you search the Forum there is many threads on this watch. That's how I found this thread to show you.
Try searching " Melbourne Olympic"

@MEugene, not quite clear over what you鈥檙e trying to accomplish here, but you are reviving a 5 year old thread and once again showing your redialed Seamaster 1956 Olympic

You don鈥檛 know that it is a redial, or are you trying to make people here believe that it鈥檚 kosher?

Tough crowd!
Hey, just a guy who loved the look of a couple watches and came to share and learn. Like we all do at some point.
I'm not sure why you come with the tone -- is 'reviving a 5 year old thread' not the done thing around these parts? 馃槻 And why the 'once again showing' quip-- since if I'd done as OneWatch and mentioned the watch, the request for pics would be expected. 馃槈

And, thanks, if your 'redial' comment is just meant to put me on my back foot, you've done fine. 馃憤
I honestly expected a bit more of an open reception rather than this sort of 'you're not from round these parts, and your hair is too long' sort of greeting. 馃檨

That said, no, I came 'in peace for all etc.' Really, I'm still trying to understand the 'redial' issue and how one distinguishes these situations.

Thanks
MEugene

Here is the plain Jane SS variant

And this is how the Lugs would have started life

Yes, it's incredible how the angular design of the frog/dog leg lug was often been polished or worn away on many of these!

When the watch/es first arrived, I was comparing to my 14k GF Seamaster Date from 1965-66, and the lug design differences really stood out.
