Literally wanted to throw it all in the bin and as the links tapers from side to side you have to match the sizes.

Literally 2 hours later manged it but notice 1 link bigger then prior link dam it but i cant be bother to sort it out now.

That drink would have settled my nerves official tip

I used to have a friend who would joke that he couldn’t mount & align a phono cartridge without two beers in him. Those tiny screws and hair-thin leads with a $2k stylus just screaming to be broken.
Once you get the swing up-wiggle out-part of the method and do it a few times it gets easier but it is not intuitive to say the least.

apologies for the unrelated question, i am also eyeing a couple of watches from Japan which i would import to the UK, can you tell me what import tax was appplied on your purchase price?

The import tax is 20% just like VAT but if it wa gifted its 2.5 % i think but there is brackets for gift values and not sure if that is legally would say double check through google and seller.
