Hey everyone,

I am currently looking for an Omega Seamaster REF 366.0842 and I saw the model in the attached picture. On Omega's vintage website I only found this model (https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/watch-omega-seamaster-omega-st-366-0842?tmod=1) with the "Automatic" written below the OMEGA letters, the one I found has the Automatic below the Seamaster writing, is that suspicious or is it potentially a fake watch/dial?

Also, if I am not mistaken the lumen on top of the 2 o'clock marker is missing, right?

Thank you in advance.

Hey, nice watch! Has 70s/80s miami vice vibes. I had same one but only with week day window. Still regret that I sold it, I’m sure this model will only increase in price as it is a) vintage and automatic b) rare model as it only been made in 1976 c) iconic look.
Regarding “automatic” it’s genuine. Mine also had it.
Lumen does seem to be missing, but it’s cheap and quick fix.
From a photo it looks like it’s in perfect condition. Great find, what’s the asking price of this one?

Thank you for the elaborate response. Very good information. The asking price is below $1000 but not much.

After I did some research, I found out that most of those watches have hesalite/acrylic glass. I was wondering if these models even have been manufacture with sapphire crystal, and if not, if it is worth changing to sapphire.

Dial looks refinished.

Even if original anything near $1000 for one of these is paying 2x max value.

No these do not accept sapphire crystals, as they weren't designed to.

From a provided photo, I wouldn’t say dial is refinished as it’s seems to go yellowish, isn’t a sign of natural patina?
Wouldn’t agree with price estimation. But do agree regarding a glass. Also, if it’s original(?) - why change it?

That dial is definitely refinished. The lume is pretty badly dolloped on. Fonts are off too. As for patina, well I don't see any patina.
