Hi everyone,

Just stumbled on this great forum as I realized that I just like Seamasters over many other watches.

I've seen this one, however suspicious it might be fake, especially because of the dial. Can you please validate or ideally dismiss this suspicion?

The dial looks reprinted.

 

Not fake, but not completely original (from my limited knowledge). And that movement has some issues - plating is worn off the rotor suggesting some rubbing — looks like some of the movement screws are missing.

Dial appears to be from a completely different reference (and refinished), hands as well.

 

I agree with the above assessments! The poorly fitting chapter ring (not just alignment but it seems to be floating a bit) is an obvious tell
