    Hi there.

Sometime lurker, but, I think, first time poster.
    P_20211221_123252.jpg

I have a Big Yellow (166.066 - I believe, although the case is more important than the exact reference for this) which has lived on a leather strap since I bought it some years ago, but I now fancy putting it on a bracelet.

My question is whether this watch was originally available on a bracelet? If so, which one and, perhaps more importantly, which endlinks were used as the case is far less curved (and wider, at 22mm) at the lugs than the Speedmaster and all the endlinks I see for Omega bracelets seem to be designed for it (and more conventionally cased Seamasters).

I've trawled around, but even the 'definitive Omega bracelet guide' seems to reference Speedmaster endlinks for 166 references, which clearly wouldn't fit.

    Any information is gratefully received.

    Thanks.

Hello, very nice example! The bracelet is the 1170 and the endlinks are 626.

Thanks - Yes, it's in nice condition, but I rarely wear it, so I figured a bracelet might encourage me to do so :)

I really appreciate the response, now the hunt begins ;)

Welcome and thanks for sharing. I look forward to shots on the wrist with the new bracelet and endlinks when you source them.

The 1170 with 626 is correct. Mine says hi.

The bracelet can be difficult/expensive to find, but worth the effort.

Thanks - Good to see what it could look like.

I've looked around and the bracelets seem expensive (ever for tatty ones) and the endlinks hard to find.

I think this will be a long process and possibly one that ends without a bracelet as they don't seem much cheaper than the watch itself!

Has anyone ever tried an aftermarket bracelet on one? Mine came on a mesh strap, but I'm not taken with photos of them on one (I found this one from the original sale and, on reflection, think I will give it a go!), so that's probably why I bought a leather strap for it.

I have a nice vintage aftermarket bracelet on a Longines Ultronic I own, but I'm not sure what would suit the 'Big Yellow'...

    Thanks.

I like the bracelet idea. Might have to search for a 1170. Mine says hello.
