Hello all,
I am attaching some pics which I have received.
I believe this is a rare model? I've checked the pics and everything seems ok. Kindly point out any discrepancies if you do notice any.
My concern is the cal. 1002 .... Not a movement from Omega's finest hour.
I am still willing to risk a purchase.
Your advice and inputs would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

To me the 1002 is a reliable movement and I even prefer it over all of my 1010ish mvmts. I have two 166.090 with it, both properly serviced and working well without any issues. And I do wear them pretty often for their nice cases 😀

Another point to me is, that this movements was fitted the legendary Ploprof, it must be a good one 😁

By God.... Both of your watches are fabulous.
Never knew these existed. Although the ref numbers are different.

Thanks Samir,

I do love these very much. There are some other interesting pieces in the 166.090ish range, such as the 087, 088 or the 093 which is for me the Grandmaster Flash of that period and of course the big yellow is another one that one should have in his collection. So go for it 👍

Cheers,

Winny

Those are some real beauties, I’ve never seen them before either. You just need to put them on your other wrist.

Thanks Winny.
First I'll pick this one up. $700. Fair?

700$ for a big yellow in such condition (from the pictures) seems to be a bargain. They don't come up quiet often in the wild and used to all have discoloration or somehow other damages bezelwise and then often more than 1k is asked.

I would say, budget now allows an additional service if required or hunting the original bracelet (which should be the 1170/626 from off my records).
