Omega SeaMaster Automatic 176.007 (I Think) Advice

Hi there, I have inherited my grandfather Omega SeaMaster which I think I have identified as a 1970's 176.007 but if that could be confirmed that would be great.

I'm not looking to sell but the glass is chipped and looking to get repair and getting some advice. It has the 1184 bracelet which is slightly too small for my wrist so looking for a 1184 link but cannot find it anywhere, I'm guessing the 1184 isn't too common anymore. It's matched with the 653 end links which I was thinking if I cannot find a 1184 link is to sell it (rough price for the 1184 bracelet would be appreciated) and then buying another genuine 1170 as I've seen online that pairs with the watch and end links I have.

Many Thanks

Hi,
this is a nice 176.007 with a rare 1184 bracelet and much rarer 653 end links. As far as I know the difference between 1170 and 1184 is only the clasp. So finding one or two links from a 1170 may help. Estimated price for a nice 1170: about 500 USD.

kind regards Max

Thanks Max, the 1184 I got is missing one piece of wire for the clasp but assumed is easy to get a replacement, but do you know estimated price for this 1184 if I decided to swap for a 1170? If I get watch sent off for glass replacement will get it tidied up and cleaned too, Thanks

Hi,

I‘m sorry I have never been offered a 1184, so I have no idea about its market value.
Maybe you ask someone here on OF to measure a link of a 1170 with a caliper so you can compare.

kind regards Max
