These guys are brilliant : how many other people through history have been able to convert 55grams of titanium (at todays worth of $45 per kg) into 1kg of solid gold (at todays worth of $49000 per kg)? Sign me up for BusinessModel101 class please.
Alchemy101 maybe?

"Ultra Light" - "Built with less weight and more comfort in mind, OMEGA’s striking new sports watch has achieved its on unique fit and feel. It’s the ideal companion for any game you play and weighs just 55 grams on its sporty fabric strap. (72 HOURSPOWER RESERVE, Manual Winding)"

Just to compare the specs i put a ~25 year old Stainless Steel Blancpain Leman (on Hirsch Leather strap) on a weighing-machine. It is an Automatic caliber with 2 Spring barrels and 100 hours power reserve, as well as 100m Water resistance.

But your watch is probably 38mm. 😀

I really like the blue-accented version of the watch, but I can't get over the price. Does "aeronautical-grade gamma titanium" and a push-in crown justify 9x the MSRP of a regular AT with rubber strap? I'm not sure who the target consumer is for this piece.

I was pretty excited reading the details on this watch. But then I got to the price. Ugh. I simply don't understand this direction. Omega is not high end enough to support this price point, especially on the Aqua Terra line.

Love the ATs in general, but this one is a solid meh for me.

I have such a hard time imagining the target audience for this watch.

Can I suggest to change the title of this thread and the name of this piece with: Aqua Terra Ultra Price ?

Beautiful, and cool, anyway!

Way overpaid professional athletes?

I feel that a burglar may ignore it if discovered on the table, so that's a positive

As a few others have stated, I love the watch, but the price ensures I will never own one, even on the secondary market.

Amazing - I never knew these existed ... and so many variations ... who would have thought they had an Ian Woosnam Edition ?!

I can’t believe it doesn’t have a ‘clubs in your bag’ counter function though !!!! 😁::psy::::stirthepot::::facepalm1::

I’ve watched that video of Woosnam being told by his caddy a few times. Still makes me cringe for the guy.

Seems the dial is reduced, if so, that could be good for future 41mm (affordable) AT versions.

+1 I thought it was a cheaper version of the Seamaster wave dial and then saw the price. Ridiculous!!!

Was curious until I saw the price, some unique ideas, but with a limited market appeal, who knows, I'm thinking "future orphan" High end watches that go this far from traditional design usually become "iconic" or quickly forgotten. Other than a GT movement, the only unique complication is the crown. Maybe it's just me, but I'm not seeing the value here, kinda reminds me of the latest iPhone.

This strikes me as something akin to a concept car: a way to develop a bunch of innovations that will subsequently migrate into more mainstream offerings. That being said, the price for this is ludicrous. I'll be interested in the sales figures a year from now.
