Must be made from Unobtainum - stupid expensive.
Grandma's Titanium, from what I have heard. The watch reportedly even smells like watered-down perfume. 😁

I think we are missing the point....it's GAMMA titanium so when you get mad it turns into....

This:

So...all things considered it is still about 30G over-priced, even if it's two watches in one.

PHILOSOPHY FOR THIS WATCH IN THE OMEGA MARKETING DEPARTMENT:
IF YOU ASK THE PRICE, IT IS NOT FOR YOU.

For the rest of us there is the hope that certain aesthetic/design elements will began to be seen in watches that if we ask the price, we can buy them...

Quite expensive but so are several models that omega made lately..
The speedmaster platinum 321, the speedmaster ss 50th, the Seamaster all black the divers prototype etc...
Maybe it is a way of stepping up a nonce as the quality is superb- even for the basic Seamaster and speedmaster (which can easily compete with Rolex and probably top them in many ways)
This one (as others noted) is probably a kind of competitor fro the nadal rm and golfers would probably enjoy.
High price but a limited production and you will end up seeing some of them sold.
Again I think that omega is trying to elevate it self, and maybe it should.
The movement looks great!
Cheers

lmao, could you imagine if you clicked the "Reveal the price" button on the website and then it says, "It's not for you."?

Omega can try all they want. Rolex dominates golf with advertising and 'brand ambassadors'. Putting out a 60k cdn golf watch isn't going to change anything. If Arnold Palmer, Jack Nichlaus, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson were/are faces for your brand, I think that you are doing OK. Add in the other top golfers wear rolex without the official endorsement and Omega is barking up the wrong tree.

Now that I think about it, it probably would have been lighter if they had used hesalite for the front and back glass. This Ultra Light is far too heavy as is.

Omega missed the boat on Sunday not having it on his wrist. Looks like an AT though.

I haven't read someone saying something positive about the price yet 😀

I understand that there is a premium price for precious metal variants of watches, a solid Sedna gold Aqua Terra (including SG bracelet) retails at £22k, what makes this titanium variant so much more 'precious' than the Sedna Gold Aqua Terra.

If I am going to spend £37k on a watch then I want at the very least solid gold and hopefully platinum, not aerospace titanium.

So I positively believe that this watch is overpriced by about £30k 😁

May be they believe their own marketing!
Someone at Omega decided on that price range, cause he needs to buy 5167 for himself? 😜

Personally I would not care less for paid ambassadors... for any brand

What? Recycled hip implants? That explains the seconds hand. It’s Soylent Green I tell you!

Isn't the ceramicky coating on the movement pieces some sort of big deal? I agree with the plates being made of titanium as not revolutionary.

I do wonder why that particular price?

The watch. 4k
Special ti case. 2k
Cool crown system. 2k
The no-date function. 40k
Omega’s hubris. Priceless

I really like this piece (without that strap and before seeing the price) but would be content with a no-date Aquaterra and have been waiting for one to be released.

I will continue to wait.

These guys are brilliant : how many other people through history have been able to convert 55grams of titanium (at todays worth of $45 per kg) into 1kg of solid gold (at todays worth of $49000 per kg)? Sign me up for BusinessModel101 class please.
