I'm not entirely sure if this belongs in the Watch review section or somewhere more general, but since it is my first live encounter with this Seamaster it seems as good a place as any.

I was invited to a Seamaster 300M Event at the Hamburg Omega Boutique yesterday evening and this watch was featured, amongst the other 300Ms. Since not everyone has good access to OBs and hence such events you may have missed the interesting presentations and build-up steps of the featured Omega watches, so here is a photo summary of what I spotted yesterday evening. Focus is on the Ref: 210.60.42.20.99.001 but I will probably bung a few other shots in for good measure.

This next one was in the condition before the He valve came off in my hand (Nick 1: Omega 0) mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.

Unlike the other 300M models where the waves are laser cut into the dial this one has raised waves.
There's a nice review of this model here:-
https://www.fratellowatches.com/omega-seamaster-300m-titanium-tantalum-sedna/

and here are a few other shots from the evening

A nice comparison of the pre- post-lume fill, which is done by hand by the way.

Here you can see the laser cut waves (as opposed to ridges on the Titanium version).

and last but not least a section through the rubber strap showing the titanium strengthener.

Cheers

Fantastic pics from what must have been a very fun evening!

I had the opportunity to try on this reference (demo) earlier this year at an OB in Florence. It's gorgeous! My wife agreed, took it off of my wrist and began taking her own wrist shots of it while still wearing a different watch she was also eye balling. At that point, the boutique brought out some champagne for her lol.

I have the silver dial on the bracelet, and the blue rubber strap on order. The gold version is the only gold watch I have ever seen that I would buy, let alone wear...it's absolutely beautiful (IMO). Thanks also for the sectional view of the rubber strap; I now understand why it cost what it did...I had no idea it had a Ti insert.

Great review. I joined the event too. Could not get as near to the build-up steps as you did, because of the two rows of guys in front of the desk.

Regards

What a great looking watch, I can almost overlook the skeleton hands on this one.

I cheated. I switched to the staff side 😁, although my interpretation of the “smart-casual” dress code made me look anything but “staff”.

Yes, it was fun. Got to meet some interesting folks too.

Thanks for the heads-up on the female approval rating, I now know to steer well clear of the Ti/Sedna model (for fear of it being nicked). About this time last year I had a narrow escape with my daughter who took a shine to a similar Speedie to the one your wife was sporting. So she would probably also like the Seamaster.

I didn’t spend much time with the other new 300Ms last Thursday as I was pretty much blown away by the looks and quality of the Ti/Sedna model. The 9-link bracelet (14 parts per link) with solid gold sections (not capped or plated) made an excellent contrast to the Titanium and Tantalum links.

I went back to the boutique today (Saturday) to pick up a book, but also half hoped that the display set would still be there, but no, they were already off to the next event somewhere. So that left some time to peruse the other 300Ms....

and discovered that I really rather like the black and Sedna gold version, again with that 9-link bracelet.

Looks like it’s going to be a horribly expensive end to 2018 ::facepalm1::. I hope I can stay cool and resist all this temptation

I'm surprised Omega aren't making more of the quality and construction of the rubber strap - there's some real engineering in it...and it wouldn't hurt to let people know they aren't just paying $$$ for some blue or black rubber.
