If you bought based on the first pictures that you posted and you are not happy with it then I would say you have good grounds to return.

As has been said the first picture has a hallmark on a lug and yours doesn´t.

Also the first picture of the case back is clearly a different one to the one you have received. The one you have received appears a lot more polished. Compare the seahorses mane and the Seamaster lettering. There is an attractive shallow bevel in the first case back which clearly isn´t there in the case back of the watch you received. The strap is also different in both pictures, definitely a different watch.

Not sure about the non-continuous cross-hair, but everything else looks original on that dial. The movement looks OK with the rotor replaced by a new one. The case looks dirty and worn out with brassing on the lugs though. The box is a bonus but may not be significant.

Do you think the cross-hair may have been added during a service? Can't see what it would have achieved? Brassing?? As in repair work? Any idea of it's value? The guys open to offers

I've seen a few but haven't researched the originality of the non-continuous cross-hair yet. For this dial, since everything else looks good, I'd say the cross-hair is good too. It can't just be simply added during service or even like adding a customized logo either.

Brassing means the plated gold has worn out to show the metal underneath. This is the reason why plated, filled or capped gold is not as desirable as stainless steel for collectors. It can usually be seen on the lugs - quite clearly on the bottom of the lugs on this watch.

This watch is not that attractive to me so I'm not sure how much to offer, but you can do a search for completed transactions of similar watches on eBay for some idea of market value. Once you get the range of value, I'd go for the lower side due to the worn out condition.
