That "hallmark" looks pretty strange to me...

The dealer has told me the hallmark is correct for 1968 Birmingham in England!

Thank you hoipolloi I suspected that may be the case! Do you think they did a good job?

    Hoipolloi,

How can you tell if a dial is refinished?
which are the main signs to look for a refinished dial?
I am absolutely rookie in Vintage watches.

    Thank you in advance!

The hallmark visible on the back of one lug in the first photo is not visible in the other pictures of the rear of the watch ::confused2:: The watch is an English (9kt) cased calibre 752. The movement looks fine. As Hoi points out, the dial has been refinished, and not very well done.

I'd say vintage watches of this age would look faded and show blemishes! This face looks too good to be true possibly? Rookie here also

Oh, that's UK hall mark on the lug that I forgot. But why does it disappear in all the pictures with the case back removed?

The prints on the dial have smear and T-Swiss Made-T are slanted and in the wrong position. This dial used to have the sought after glitter finish.

I know that we keep on saying this, but it really would save an awful lot of buyer remorse if you would show us a picture here before you buy the watch, not afterwards . . . . ::facepalm2::

Haha wish I had now! Never mind I still like it but I will look to find a nicer one! Anyone care to give me a rough valuation all considered?

That Seamaster font was for older versions, the later ones should have this font

The Swiss Made is in wrong place, too.

My guesstimate is about GBP 200 for the gold content plus GBP 100-150 for the watch.

That is if the rest of the case beside the case back is of true 9K gold. I have a little doubt about it though as it's supposed to have some hallmark like in the first picture you posted. Where did that picture come from? If no hallmark is found, I'd have it tested for gold content to make sure.
