In a box of my deceased Fathers stuff. I never paid any attention to it for about a decade. Thought I would do a Google search based on pictures of similarity. Not much out there...perhaps rare. I think the markers are "sharks tooth". It runs smoothly. I know nothing about this watch and would appreciate any expert info and value. Thanks in advance.

Bracelet missing end links. Probably a 50X caliber movement. Get a watch maker to pop the back. Get reference number on inside back and caliber # on movement. Take pictures of movement

As DON said. It's a shame that the end links are missing. A complete 7912 bracelet is valuable. Nonetheless, you have a vintage Omega Seamaster that will likely clean up very well. I'd keep it and wear it. It's a nice way to remember your father.

Even without Endlinks (although one is present - what is the number on the underside?) a 7912 is worth several hundred £.

I’m undecided whether the dial is original or not as the picture is poor but a few hundred for the watch as well. More if the dial is original and clean.

That's true, even if there is one genuine 7912 end link, it's valuable. I am also not sure whether the dial is original, but it's still nice that he has the watch from his father.

It looks like the number 4. Maybe this is a better pic.

As for the watch, I'm inclined to think that it's a 2577 and that it's original. Here's an example for the dial text.

4’s are not in the same league as 6’s but they still have value

I’d agree dial seems original from that pic but clearly has ageing so not a top example. Probably £600-700 value wise.

I think it would be more likely a calibre 354 or maybe even 352

That's a really nice watch from your dad, you are very lucky ! I might consider to sell the bracelet and end link, put some of the funds towards a service and a strap, and then use the rest as a down payment on your next watch, assuming you become a watch addict like everyone else here.

That might be an idea. I stopped wearing watches years ago because I kept destroying them by not taking them off while rebuilding car engines etc. I would like to find an old Citizen diver that I had given to me as a kid and destroyed it...sentimental. lol.

Great watch. Boy would I enjoy wearing that. Hope you get a sympathetic service and wear it whenever you are in the mood.

It won’t be a 2577 as those have a screw on back but there was a bumper model with a press on back whose number I forget. 2767 maybe. Or it’s a later 50x model like the 2846. My money is on 2767

My 2767 for comparison purposes (and before I had it serviced)

It has beefy lugs.

Have a 354 movement on the bench so my initial reaction is a bumper and that would be the one.

I think it is a nice watch.

I actually prefer leather straps, but that could be that I look at these from a unisex point of view since I am female. These watches are fairly small.
