Didn’t see Lizbeth, I think she opened the Boutique. It was a great turnout. The team did well.

I asked as mine was originally scheduled for November.

Now it’s pushed to early 2019

    From Omega’s website.....

Launched in 1948, the Seamaster line was OMEGA's first family of watches. A blend of battle-proven technology and beautiful design, they would go on to conquer the watchmaking world. Released to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the Seamaster, these 1948 Limited Editions pay tribute to OMEGA's original post-war classics.

Do they realise there are only 25 days left of 2018? Seems they’ll miss their own ‘anniversary’ ::facepalm1::.

Checked in with my AD today. They had no real news other than they’d not had any news from HQ. Indicated they’d probably not know much until they were notified of shippment as Rep not much use at giving updates ::facepalm1::

Thankfull Omega don’t have to manage anything critical or particularly important as their supply chain comms seem to be utterly woeful. :(

My last info from my OB is February....Quite embarrassing. 2019 will not mark the 70th anniversary ;)

Maybe they’ll just keep them another 4 years in that case and wait for the 75th. :D

Yes - fine with me, if they drop the silly printing on the back.
Also I am not convinced anymore about the feuille hands on the version with the small second. In the beginning I loved them (and in fact, they are beautiful by itself!) but the longer I look at them the more I think, the hands are to small/thin for the rather sturdy case… The proportions just are not 100% right. I probably wait indeed for the 75. anniversary…
The center second version is definitely not an option for me because of the short hands.

Anyway, by the time they manage to sell the whole lot, we may be closer to the 80th anniversary.

I still quite like it and as I very rarely at the back of my watches not fussed about the picture of a boat. I’ll actually be quite glad if demand is subdued. Better chance of a good discount. I’m not really fussed about the LE status or the anniversary aspect as such. I just like it as a nice looking watch.

My local OB is saying it should arrive February 2019! I can't wait to see one in person. Hopefully it is worth the wait...

I just put a full deposit down today for the central seconds one. Can anyone else confirm the price? I paid $6150 +tax. I had thought it would be closer to $5700 or $5800 through other watch blogs.

I'm not sure where you are located but in the U.S., the price is $6,700.

I think it’s because of the pie pan dial that the center seconds is higher. I think in person it would look more appropriate than perfectly head-on. Beautiful watch.
