- what is the difference between a radial and sunburst finish
- I have the history of mine since inception in the early 70s and it has been worn regularly, I was going to have Omega replace the bezel and crystal with wear and tear and polish the case. Are any of these factory repairs a big no no as far as collector values go?

Absolutely fabulous
You have a 5 series prototype and I have one and a friend of mine has one also the theory is that they made 300 of these but this is not proven ...what is equally likely is that these were part of a batch ordered by Prince Ranier the third of Monaco to be given to people who were connected to or honoured by the Monaco Oceanagraphic institute
In addition you have two rarer hour hands
You have a long lume version whic is in the museum...yours looks identical to their ‘[will send you a photo]
And you have the fat lume also
The 1975 is incredibly interesting as it’s pre the 38million range when they went for retail sale and it confirms that sale of this model did not take place before 1975 as has been claimed
I think it came our 1976 and ceased in 1977/8 I suspect that there are a lot less than 1000
