Omega Nato straps...

I've been using straight springbars for my nato strap, no problem. Even the boutique told me that a curved springbar for the nato isn't really necessary. The existing springbar used for the bracelet is just fine.

I bought mine online, and you do get the kit - case, same springbar tool that comes with speedmaster, case, mat, extra springbars. If you are getting a NATO order online.

Also, I've tried some cheaper NATOs and none are as good as the Omega. Worth the money? Hard to say, but for sure the best I've tried.

Hi - hopefully I'm able to help out the community with some details of Omega NATO straps I recently purchased for my Speedmaster Racing Co-Axial Master Chronometer directly from the Omega online store.

The straps come in beautiful packaging from the Secaucus, NJ Swatch Group Center as seen in photos. There are two sets of new spring bars included with each strap, though I ended up using the same bars from the Omega leather straps I had on my timepiece previously. There were no fit issues threading the NATO through those bars.

The straps themselves are soft, high quality nylon and the added touch of Omega badging on the metal pieces helps differentiate these from 3rd party manufacturers. The only downside I see is that the glossy finish on the metal pieces will scratch rather easily, but that is to be expected.

Let me know if I can help answer any questions!

Mine came exactly the same as yours, I ordered directly from the Omega website. I also got the spring bar tool as well in the case. The spring bars they include are slightly longer as others have indicated compared to the ones that are on my bracelet.

It looks like it doesn't come with the spring bar tool anymore 🙁. Website indicates this too when you add to basket
"Excludes OMEGA spring bar tool."

Correct, you need to tick the box to have it included for 10 USD/EUR.

The deed is done. Strap arrived and mounted. Spring bars included, and they were curved. Strap fits great. And yes the too was an extra $10. I can always use an extra tool.

I just bought a NATO strap from Omega online and I can say it no longer comes with the tool kit, but you can add it for just $10. Well worth it if you were going to buy a NATO anyways since people on ebay sell just the tool kit on ebay for like $60.

Well, you need some way to offset the price of the worlds most expensive NATO.

AD confirmed that the Nato spring bars are different than the bracelet ones. They can take care of that for me if I don't get spring bars with the strap. The AD is excellent and I have confidence in them. Will find out what I get tomorrow.
The lugs are such you can use straight spring bars.

Perhaps, but I used the curved ones that came with the strap. They work fine.

Oh, for sure. I prefer the rounded one with my NATO.

Anyone had any luck fitting the 19-20mm sized official Omega nato strap on a Speedmaster 38 which comes with the 18mm lugs/ bracelet?

The 3 I have came with spring bars but they were no different to the ones I already had to the naked eye. I use mine with my bracelet spring bars so I don’t think you would have an issue.

I’m sure I’m wrong and will be corrected, but I’ve never had an issue.
I concur

as above, correct, the bracelet springbars are 1mm shorter for ease of removal.
call your AD, they will usually send you some if you spent any money with them. if not, i think a set are 10 bucks

I bought TWO natos at a boutique, one for myself and one for my friend four years ago. Came in nylon bag and folding cardboard box (more like an envelope) Also came with curved spring bars. (SM300)

I have the exact same strap package, didn’t order the spring bar tool but it came anyway which was a nice bonus. Also it came from Switzerland in less than 48 hours which was impressive. I haven’t tried NATO’s from other brands but I am so pleased with the quality of Omega’s straps that I have no plan to buy from elsewhere.

One thing I haven’t seen or come across is these curved spring bars, time for a chat at my OB’s.
