Here a couple of pics and I bought it on a car boot sale, for not a lot of money.
If anyone has any info on my watch I would be very grateful.

Hi Joe[emoji137]
Yes Sir , I have seen the CK2444 as a child in the 80s worn by one of the RAAF Servicemen stationed in Butterworth . They called that military wristwatch the Dirty Dozen ! Here I'll show you what I mean
The British Ministry of Defence towards the end of WW2 had contracted 12 watchmakers to provide them with w.w.w ( watch wristlet waterproof ) with that government broad arrow pheon according to their military specs of course . I cannot remember the total number , was it a total of 100 000 timepieces ?
Anyway Omega sold 25 000 of those military watches ( JLC sold 10 000 units ) to the MOD on the 17th August 1945 , that's two days after the Japanese Military Forces in Malaya surrendered to the British Soldiers
. They were distributed to the British Armed Forces , Aust , NZ , Canadians , Sikh, Indian, Gurkha troops serving in Malaya under the Commonwealth in the late 40s & 50s. These watches were highly prized by the Communist Party of Malaya under their cunning strategist leader Chin Peng. Heck ! Chin Peng knew the MOD issued watches were super reliable & issued a standing order to unwrist all watches of killed British & Commonwealth forces soldiers during Communist guerilla ambushes & raids . "Kill the enemy & first thing you do is to remove the military watches " Most of these watches were destroyed,. broken to pieces , others burnt in fire , stolen or lost so actually finding one is almost near impossible now. My Australian neighbour bought the CK2444 from a British Serviceman in the 60s but your watch isnt the same as his. I notice the hands are incorrect & chapter ring is different. Your CK2444 is a Redial Sir. I'm not too sure whether it's the original crown or it's a replacement. The caseback is however genuine Sir with the correct markings & stamped style . The serial number corresponds to one of the last batches of watches from Omega in 1945. Even in average condition the so called Malayan Military CK2444 watch is worth about US4000 in today's market !
