Looks nothing like a genuine example should look like. 100% fake.

I have recently purchased this and I am really unsure of the authenticity as there is not much information on the internet. Can anyone help..?

Sorry about the bad news, but hopefully you didn't pay very much. Please ask questions before purchasing next time.

Hi,
This is a watch that I own and was wondering if the dial fitted to it is a Bienne Omega dial? The movement is a Calibre 283. Any help any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Hi gemini4,
Yes I did find this dial on Zaf's site but thought it might have been different as my one has a straight 7 rather than a hooked 7?
Cheers Russell.

Yes that is the my watch and the same watch.
The 58 is mine as well. Just was after the clarification on the dial and like you said it doesn't have the hook on the 7.
Cheers.

Are you of the opinion that it is an Omega restored dial?

As you know non-typical '53 dials can be a minefield. All I can say with reasonable certainty is that it's not a Bienne dial and not the typical '53 dial. It looks repainted - the numbers and the arrow are off but who did it I couldn't tell.

@bags1971:
Nice watch, but be aware that the minute hand is wrong. It's short and it should have a solid metal tip like the hour hand.

Yes it is a non typical 53 6b/542 dial.
I agree the numbers are a little off mainly the 7 being non hooked.
The thin arrow looks ok to me. A few close ups for comparison.
Cheers Russell.

Typical 53 6b/542 TA.

Bienne dial
My above dial in question

New to vintage Omegas and looking for some help. Came across this watch online and haven’t purchased yet. It’s case says W.W.V, although the V looks like it should have been a W. I can’t find any other examples like this and it’s missing the arrow. Anyone recognize this as a real omega?

It doesn’t get more fake than that. Stay away from that POC.
