Bingo.
Hello, thank you very much, for your good observation, and pedantic nothing, every opinion counts and among all, we will reach a conclusion ... waiting for Omega to appear in this forum... well it would be a "miracle"

It is clear to see from this pic that something is missing (just look at every marker on the tachymeter ... the solid orange is the orange 'reflector', and half of each marker shows a hole as the reflector is not as wide as the bezel. So either Omega forgot the white ring, or someone removed it. Personally I would never believe Omega could do something this sloppy...but then Rolex also once made a faulty dial, so it could well be. Either way, I don't think there is any mystery (or anything special) here...other than it looks cool and unique, so enjoy it. The holes would bother me a bit...however I am a pedant.
Don't have one from this specific model, but I can show you this...
Top arrow points to the crystal, second to the crystal gasket, and the bottom to the orange flange. There's no "white ring" in this watch anywhere.
All of the Mk. II crystals are painted on the back - this is common knowledge, and you should be able to find photos out there.
Re: white ring : Didn’t think (or imply) there was a part as such, but something on the crystal, be it paint or a sticker, and that is shaped like a hollow circle (aka a ring) the same outer diameter as the crystal and inner diameter the end of the ‘bezel’ part of the crystal. No matter, the mystery is solved and clearly the white is missing. Orange flange is the thing which bounces orange light and gives that ‘radial glow’ effect I guess.
