Omega HQ Bienne Biel Switzerland... 5th visit

Unfortunately another gloomy rainy day in Switzerland as I visited the Omega HQ & Museum for the 5th time... September 2024
Sharing some photographs here as I did during my other visits to the core of our passion for their time pieces.

The pendulum, invented in 1850 by French physicist Jean Léon Foucault (1851) hangs in the midpoint of the reception area of the Omega HQ building.
This popular visual experiment displays direct evidence of the Earth's rotation, as the pendulum swings in the same plane as the Earth rotates beneath it. Fun fact the largest/longest Foucault pendulum is at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole antarctic research station.
On the ground is a colorful mosaic representing the six constellations of the Zodiac in the nightsky when viewing in Easterly direction, remeber there're 13 astronomical constellations in the path of the ecliptic...

For the James Bond fans... preparation for "" 30 years Omega Seamaster in the Bond movies "" ?

Swatch environmental policy...
One of the things I learned is that the printing of catalogs will be limited and that Omega's Life Time magazine will be no longer printed...
These were printed in Germany. Maybe an exception might be made for a very special edition... until further notice...
So this 2022 special issue "The Museum Edition" is the last for now...
