The only people calling this a “fluted bezel” are those who haven’t handled this or a DJ next to each other. The Omega is much closer to a coin edge than a flute, and the watch is far better for it. These two couldn’t be more different, in my opinion.

Omega used the same type bezel back in the 1969 Constellation, so nothing new.

Here’s a couple Omega pilot watches from 1934 with a coin edge bezel... even though it’s curved, the GM shares more in common with it than Rolex’s fluting, and these Omegas predate both the DD and DJ.

Another blue one 🥰

There's a steel and rose gold GM with a blue dial just sitting at my local AD at a really good price and as much as I'm tempted to buy it the bracelet design is the main thing that's putting me off. Fit it with a nicely tapered bracelet and slimline adjustable clasp and it would already be purchased.

I loved the white pictures then I saw that blue one lol. Thanks for posting!

Any annual calendar fans? I love the silver one!

Great article thanks! I wish the annual calendar had a matching date window though like the regular.

Man the gold bracelet above made me look to see if there is a steel one and there is yay, looks amazing on bracelet IMO. Sporty, but not TOO sporty.

I would love to see this in person, but three OB I have been to don’t have one. It’s out of my price range but it seems beautiful in yellow or rose gold.

Yeah, love the bracelet too. I keep switching between the bracelet and charcoal strap cause they highlight different qualities in the watch I like. Really hard for me to choose which I prefer.

For those of you who may be interested in the all steel blue dial version, here are a few pics of mine. It’s a great watch. Absolutely no regrets.

So here is a nice rare variation I spotted today at my OB.

without looking it up, what 2 things make this special?

Of course that’s only one... the indices are blue, but, made of what? I don't know.

@Superdoc has one and rumour has it that he had a hand in the decision concerning the other not-yet-mentioned special feature, or lack thereof.

Honestly! How the heck did I miss the no date? Good thing the prize was not one of those babies in platinum!

Its a subtle feature on a watch you don't see that often and when you do hear about it the platinum model is very very rarely discussed. Few people know a platinum version exists, and even fewer know it is a no date variant. Hence why I posted it that way 😉

I’ve seen the platinum version at the NYC OB. It is stunning and, yes, no date window unlike the other versions of the GM. Makes it even more of a dress watch in my opinion.
