So here is a nice rare variation I spotted today at my OB.

Oooh, I got to try this on when I picked up my ST2 at the OB back in September 2018. There was a gentleman there who was planning on buying it for a special occasion. If I remember correctly, it is a limited edition of around 350.

Funny how our perception of watches changes over time.😀

March 2016 I checked out the Globemaster white dial on a black/grey strap at the NYC OB and dismissed it as rather boring.

July 2019 hanging out at another OB I took a casual look at the white dial with a black strap and thought it looked quite classy...go figure

Paradise, it’s funny how in your picture it looks like the hands are stainless. But when I have seen it they look black.

Cannot understand why we do not see much more this watch... to me it is an absolute beauty, but it seems only few people buy it...
Anyway, hopefully second hand will decrease a bit more à I will be able to buy one for 3 to 3,5K€... cross fingers 😀

Gui13250 —- It would be interesting to see how many of these are sold. I suspect more than we’d think. People who buy a ”dressy” watch like this just might not be the general type to hang out on the watch forums.

You are maybe right, even if with a vintage leather strap I think it could be a “go with everything” kind of watch 😀

Western markets seem to favor sports watches, while dress watches seem to be very popular in Asia and the Middle East. I’d imagine that the Globemaster may have stronger sales outside of the west.

Omega made a big thing about the GM when it was first released in 2015, but since then it seems that Omega’s not doing too much to push it.

Either way it doesn’t change how much I like the GM.

I am finding it rounds off a set for me - getting more and more wrist time ...and not just for formal..so I have now bought the metal bracelet (bad maths I know...)

The white dial GM looks awesome - I’ve now seen it at a couple of AD’s. The only thing thats held me back from picking it up is the bracelet and lack of adjustability on it. Short of me asking outright (which maybe i need to do), I’ve dropped some fairly obvious hints to the ADs in what I’d need to close out the sale, and so far no one has offered to size it up to my wrist before purchase.........

Any AD or OB should size the bracelet as part of the purchase. I would just ask them to throw it in along with a sizable discount on both the watch and the leather strap and deployant clasp, if you want them. If they’re not willing to give you a significant discount, you can get a brand new Globemaster for 30% off retail from any one of several grey market sellers.

I like both the blue and white/gray dials. Kind of like a win-win for me. One of the watches I would like to pick up in either color and then deciding about the model with months or without months.

Some of you tried it on a more « sporty - vintage » leather strap? Or even on a nubuk strap? I’m sure it could be stunning!

So ive tried this watch on the AD and the bracelet are super comfortable, i think this might be the best steel and unpolished bracelet since the rolex oyster.
And the size of the dial is just right.

What do you think about this watch?
I think the Globemaster in both blue ad white/grey are amazing looking.

Crosspost; nice topic! I recently bought the white model on the bracelet. Though it is quite comfortable, I find the looks a bit on the bland side when using the bracelet. A leather strap suits it better.

After reading stories about the pricing of the OEM leather straps and deployant clasps (I am told these sell for ~600-700 EUR), I bought a Hirsch strap that is specifically made for Omega watches. A dark blue genuine alligator for about Eur 240 (including 'Hirsch magic clasp' which is just awesome: on the go adjustment without using the holes in the strap. Ultimate comfort. Lately I have refinished the polished finishing of the clasp with a light brushing pad. Now it matches the watch case)!

The white GM seems to be a strap monster so I have ordered some more straps..
