Agree. I own two relatively similar 70s Genèves (in steel with manual wind movements) and I think they are good watches but not worth 500 bucks. Something like 300 would be better.

Currently, stainless steel are more sought after than gold plate and, IMHO, you’ll find a better watch with a 552/565 movement for less than $500

·Yeah I'll go with the consensus here and pass. Thanks for your input. I'd like to pick one of these up at some time though just to have one that represents the 70s as well and the whole quartz war but I guess maybe a square De Ville with a 711 movement actually represents that era even better.
