Hi Folks,

I'm trying to find more info on this vintage Omega I have. I cannot find any pictures of this watch out there. I have been told by Olaf at vintagemasters.eu it is a Geneve from the 60's. The watch currently does not work. I'm considering having it refurbished but not sure if it would be worth it. Thanks in advance for any comments or advice.

The reference number will be inside the case-back. I'm not sure the hands are original, but who knows.

166.0202 has a beveled edge on the lugs.

Depending on where you are service and a crystal would be around $300- $400.

Any watch is worth restoring, If one has the times and funds to do so. I personally am fond of reviving rusty movements.

It is a 166.070. Worth restoring?
Certainly.
Not via Omega though, any competent watchmaker can service these, preferably one with an Omega parts account because it will certainly need new parts (crystal/stem/other bits).

Ditch the awful bracelet and get a nice strap for it. It'll look much better when the dial is visible.
