The best advice is to start looking for a better example.

Welcome to the forum,

when learning I started here: https://omegaforums.net/threads/learn-how-to-fish.52603/ you will learn a lot, quickly!

As another tip, always seek to get good pictures of the watch face on & movement pics are a must IMO, it is hard to see this example, but from what I can see the case is in bad shape for a start. I think you can find better!

Keep hunting and asking for advice before you buy 😀

The dial is hard to judge from that angle (for me anyway) but I’ve seen multiple specimen in this color-combination (black dial, those indices, gold-plated case, white lettering on the dial, so that might be legit.

Is this a watch you own?
Or one you are considering purchasing?
If it is not yet yours- you might be better off looking elsewhere. The watch case is in poor condition.
On the other hand if it is already yours, we may be able to offer advice.

The dial looks original.

how can i fix and bring it to life again?
Is it running right now, or not?
If it is running.... what is the "problem" that you want to fix?
If it is not running, you will need to take it to a watch-maker for servicing and repairs.
The cost of service might be much more than the watch is worth.

Yes, replating is possible and not terribly difficult. I do not think it would be expensive.

Most importantly however, is that if the watch has not had a full "mechanical watch service" recently, it will need one soon. Preferably before you wear it. The movement needs to be cleaned and re-oiled. If you wear and use it without servicing, the parts will be damaged and eventually break. Find a local watchmaker who can do this first, and then see about replating the case.

If this was an old watch of his that he wore for a long time, it may have good sentimental value for you.
However, if this is a watch he bought for you cheaply and recently, it is a "gift" that may cost you more than he bargained for.

In case it’s for emotional value only, the following information is completely redundant:

Another Geneve in this configuration sold on eBay a couple days ago for ~360€ in a condition the seller called “very good”. Let’s say it was “good”.
