Only your observation is in accordance with the observation of Mr. Hartmut Richter (moderator of Zenith forum on watchuseek.com). I do not know Mr. Richter personally, but you can visit this forum and see that he is a true expert for high-class watches.

I’m sure Mr Richter is very knowledgeable but your multiple references put me in mind of Mattie Ross's frequent mention of 'Lawyer Daggett' in ‘True Grit'.

Of course, there’s no real comparison, her's is a fictional character.

Say hello to Mattie Ross when you see her, and I will greet Mr. Richter when I see him.

If you like the watch, then wear it but, in my opinion, it wouldn't be worth putting any money into it.

I'm not sure where you're going with this thread as your original question was about it being a redial, or not. I think it's a redial as well and it's not a good package. Your photos are very poor but, if you put the watch next to an upturned glass and put the phone on top of that glass, you can get good photos even with my very cheap phone. It's all about stability and holding your phone (or the Nikon) is a poor way to take photos of small objects.

If you bought it and can return it, I'd do that. If it has sentimental value then that would be slightly different.

Any watchmaker could have told you about movement and dial commonality - such as the example you quoted from the Zenith guy. It's expensive to design and manufacture a new calibre so many parts are shared between calibres and often carried over from older calibres.

Good luck, Chris

Thank you very much Chris! I do have Nikon, but I am not a professional photographer. As you said, my photos are very poor. And I will try to take some photos, using the technique you have mentioned above. But..., huhhh, I'm already tired of this...

You are the only one here who observed that the look of the dial on photos depends on many factors. Because of that, you (and Sonicosa because of other good observations) deserve me to reveal my intentions.

I'm trying to prove that this is not a redial, but ''switch''. Did you notice that on one photo minutes/seconds markers from 26 to 34 are longer than others? But, this is not so on the other photo. Looking only at the photo with ''longer'' markers, one could say that this is a redial. And so on, and so on...

Important notification for those with powerful watches on Avatars!!!
Please do not post anymore replies! Otherwise, I will be forced to use extreme psychological measures against you! :whipped:

P.S.
Did you notice, that at the end of your message, you are actually talking about ''switching''? 😀

This is creative post farming. With any luck a mod will pop by and wield the hammer if this goes on and on an on.

You're welcome! To find out what other intention is behind this one, you will have to work even harder. 😉

Just be relaxed, take some popcorns and watch. There is no need for mod's hammer (for now) 😀

It's definitely a good way to reach 200 posts so he can start selling (at least he made the effort to already choose a profile pic, unlike me).

I like you all guys! I am only Omega enthusiast, just as you are. Don't be mad at me 🙁 I'm not trying to sell anything. I'm just trying to figure out what have I bought on ebay for $300. 🤨

Several people have outlined what your watch is. However, you seem intent to ignore the overwhelming consensus as you want to hear the watch is something it isn’t

I think that I was quite clear. Elitist people with powerful watches on their avatars are not welcomed on my thread.

I don't think I can help anymore but to say that regardless of whether your dial is original, it is from a different model. Don't think this makes it some sort of rare Omega because it's a mistake, the most likely explanation is that it will have been changed recently for the purposes of selling the watch.

I just took a photo with my upside down tumbler method and my Nokia TA-1020 phone - just about the cheapest smartphone you can buy in UK at about 80GBP. It took me 30 seconds and here it is (unedited). There is sufficient detail in this to remove anyone's concerns that it is a redial. If you want someone to confirm that you have an original Omega dial (but for a different calibre) then just do this.

Regards, Chris
