I don't think I can help anymore but to say that regardless of whether your dial is original, it is from a different model. Don't think this makes it some sort of rare Omega because it's a mistake, the most likely explanation is that it will have been changed recently for the purposes of selling the watch.

I just took a photo with my upside down tumbler method and my Nokia TA-1020 phone - just about the cheapest smartphone you can buy in UK at about 80GBP. It took me 30 seconds and here it is (unedited). There is sufficient detail in this to remove anyone's concerns that it is a redial. If you want someone to confirm that you have an original Omega dial (but for a different calibre) then just do this.

Regards, Chris
Thank you very much Chris, for explaining me this technique of taking good photos!

I think that I was quite clear. Elitist people with powerful watches on their avatars are not welcomed on my thread.

This kind of post isn't helping your cause...

Nothing elitist here. Some of my favourite watches cost less than $300.

However, your watch/the watch you’re considering, is what it is, and sticking your fingers in your ears until someone tells you what you want to hear is ridiculous.

The watch on your avatar costs, I presume, at least $1000.

What on earth does that have to do with whether or not your watch has an original dial?

Would my opinion be more valid if I change my avatar to a $300 Seamaster that’s sat in my watch box?!

You're welcome! To find out what other intention is behind this one, you will have to work even harder. 😉

It would be nice if you could get to the point now... and also cut out the unnecessary provocations.

After I think a little bit, I will let you know which watch from your collection is most appropriate for your avatar.

It is very common for people starting out in the hobby to make an unwise choice. They call it the noob tax, and most everyone here has paid it to some degree or another. If it is at all possible to return the watch, you should. If not, you hopefully will have gain some wisdom from the experience.

The problem is, it is extremely unlikely for you to find a nice Seamaster for $300 on ebay. There are some amazing watches on this forum, but I would not call it elitist. People here care about originality, condition, and history, etc. But we are not generally elitist in a financial way. People here love Seikos, Timex, and lesser known Swiss brands that can be had for under $300 if not $100. I have had enthusiastic responses to watches I have paid less than $50 for. Rather than getting a poor condition Seamaster for $300, you can by a very nice Tissot Seastar Seven in near perfect shape for less, for example. Check out the following thread, so many good options for $50-$300 are posted here.
