Hi all,

I'm looking at this Genève Automatic, dated 1972, with a green vignette dial.
Listing here for reference: https://www.chrono24.ch/omega/geneve-automatic-1972---date-green-vignette-dial--id45961840.htm

Stainless steel, integrated bracelet case, signed Omega bracelet and clasp, no box/papers, seller unsure of exact caliber (seller doesn`t know how to open the case back).

1. Does this look like a genuine Omega green vignette dial to you, or are there signs of moisture damage / degradation?
2. Any idea which caliber this case/bracelet combo typically housed (1012, 1481, 565)?
3. Anything else in the photos that would raise flags (redial, refinished case, non-original hands, etc.)?

Appreciate any input

Thanks!

This is a ref. 166.099 with a Cal. 1481.
I'm not sure whether a green vignette dial ever existed for this reference. Its condition, particularly the surface texture, seems strange to me as well..

You might be better off looking for an Omega ref. 166.0168, or 166.0174 if you want the integrated bracelet, as those were available with the dial you're looking for. The cal. 1012 or 1022 is also, at least in my opinion, superior to the 1481.

Thank you very much for the info, really helpful! I love green dials, so I'll keep an eye out for a 166.0168 as you suggested.
Appreciate the pointer!
